Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about ordering checks online.
1. Are the checks from my bank better?
No. When you order checks online that you are getting them directly from a check printing company. These check printing companies may be used by your bank to print the checks that your bank sells you. Plus, all checks ordered meet certain universal standards established by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) used in the financial and retail industries. Checks offered through this site meet or exceed all ANSI standards. These are the very same standards any printer who contracts with a bank must follow.
2. Why are checks online less expensive?
Ordering checks online eliminates the markup charged by your bank.
3. Can my bank refuse to process checks that I do not order through them?
As long as checks meet ANSI standards, your bank cannot refuse to honor checks that you purchased elsewhere. All checks offered through this site meet those standards.
4. Is it safe?
Your orders are processed using a Secure server and the same standards that are followed by your bank’s contracted printer are followed or exceeded.
5. Can I put my phone number, license number or other information on my check?
Yes, but we do not recommend placing your driving license number on a check. On the order form, just use the area marked “other” to include this information.
6. How long does it take to get my checks?
Delivery is through the mail and is usually equal to or faster than when you order checks through a bank. However, actually delivery time depends on the shipping method you select. The basic UPS shipping is between 10 and 17 business days from order to delivery.
7. Do the checks that I get look exactly the same as the checks online?
That depends, in large part, on your monitor. Every effort is made by the check printer to accurately represent images , including colors, of the checks offered. Due to the wide range of computer monitors and color displays, however, you should consider the colors you see on your screen to be representational.
